Rivian Arcade

How to Play Rivian Arcade Games

Rivian Arcade turns your R1T or R1S cabin into a gaming lounge once you park and switch on Camp Mode. This guide covers everything: opening Rivian Arcade on the 12-inch landscape display, pairing a Bluetooth controller (optional), and choosing between touchscreen taps, the physical knob, and full controller play.

Pick your controls

Toggle the panels to compare touchscreen, the physical knob, and full controller play. Every Rivian Arcade game lists the modes it supports on its tile.

Most Rivian Arcade games run on the 12-inch landscape display with direct tap and swipe input. Reach for the physical knob to scroll lists and confirm selections without lifting a hand off the wheel.

Step-by-step

Follow the seven steps below from Park to launch. Stop once the game you picked is on screen.

Menu
Park and enable Camp Mode

Park the R1T or R1S and enable Camp Mode from the center stack. Rivian Arcade only appears on the 12-inch landscape display while the vehicle is parked, so Camp Mode is the first gate. The physical knob stays dim until you complete this step.

Menu
Open Rivian Arcade on the 12-inch

Tap the Rivian Arcade tile on the 12-inch landscape display launcher. The tile sits alongside Climate and Media while in Camp Mode and opens the sideloaded game catalog in seconds. Use the physical knob to scroll through the library without lifting a finger.

Menu
Pick a game

Scroll the Rivian Arcade catalog on the 12-inch landscape display and tap any cover art to launch. Most titles open within a couple of seconds; a few drop you into a short splash screen before the main menu appears. Pressing the physical knob also works as a tap-equivalent.

Controller
Pair a Bluetooth controller (optional)

Hold the pairing button on your Bluetooth gamepad until the LED flashes rapidly. Open Bluetooth settings from the 12-inch landscape display and pick the controller from the device list. Press the physical knob to confirm the pairing prompt without lifting your hands off the wheel.

Controller
Use controller mode

After pairing, the gamepad handles movement, aiming, and most menu navigation in Rivian Arcade. Keep the 12-inch landscape display available for typing usernames and confirming dialogs. Use the physical knob to scroll through long menus faster than the d-pad.

Touchscreen + knob
Use touchscreen + knob together

Touch the 12-inch landscape display to tap, swipe, and drag in Rivian Arcade, and reach for the physical knob at any time to scroll a list. Most puzzle, party, and arcade titles fully support tap input. The combined flow keeps both hands at the dashboard without lifting your arms.

Touchscreen + knob
Save and exit

Most titles save progress locally and to your Rivian account automatically. Tap the Rivian Arcade menu icon on the 12-inch landscape display and choose Exit, or rotate the physical knob through the launcher to find another game. Shift out of Park to end the session.

Troubleshooting

If a launch fails or the physical knob refuses to scroll, work through these checks before restarting the touchscreen.

Controller will not pair

Confirm the gamepad is in pairing mode (LED flashing rapidly) and that no other device is already connected. Reboot the 12-inch landscape display from settings and retry from a fresh Bluetooth device list. The physical knob does not replace a paired controller.

Game will not launch

Some Rivian Arcade titles need a paired gamepad even when you plan to play on the touchscreen alone. If a launch fails, pair any Xbox or PlayStation controller and tap the cover art again. The library then unblocks the title on the 12-inch display.

Knob input feels laggy

Wireless interference and a low 12V battery both slow the physical knob response. Move phones and other Bluetooth devices away from the center stack, swap in a fresh battery, or wait for the cabin to settle. The 12-inch display re-syncs after a short idle.
